Capital Smart City Islamabad

Capital Smart City Islamabad is the first housing society in Pakistan that is being commissioned on the smart city concept. The concept of a CSC is based on the collection, storage, and deduction of real-time data. It has been planned to provide an eco-friendly and sustainable living to residents. CSC is located at the Thalian interchange on the Motorway M2 in close proximity to New Islamabad International Airport.

It is approved by RDA, to be granted formal permission from FWO and the National Highway Authority to construct a motorway interchange. The Islamabad Capital Smart City enjoys a premium location in the suburbs of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The society lies near the Thalian Interchange on Islamabad – Lahore Motorway M2. The housing society is a 5-minute drive from New Islamabad International Motorway. On the other side, the housing society bisects Chakri Road from Rawalpindi. CSC is one of the only societies in the area that has a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

The location also lies in close proximity to the proposed Rawalpindi Ring Road as well as the upcoming China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route. The river Sill and adjunct Chauhan Dam lie within the housing society. It is one of the only housing societies in the region that has access to natural water resources. Capital Smart City Masterplan

Singapore-based consultancy firm Surbana Jurong (SJ) and Norman Foster are the most recognized names that collaborated in masterplan development.

A substantial percentage of the Capital Smart City master plan is focused on optimizing the natural characteristics of the community and preserving its eco-friendliness. It includes infrastructure developments such as a public transit system with conveniently positioned stations, Central Boulevard, and a cascade of high-rise buildings, parks & zoos, commercial developments, and dozens of similar things. Currently, the CS City Islamabad has a total land area of 55,000 Kanal making it the largest housing society in that neighborhood besides being the closest residential project to the upcoming Islamabad International Airport.

Due to overwhelming responses from the investors, Capital Smart City Islamabad expansion is under pipeline. Authorities made a proposal for land expansion in August 2019. After the extension, the area of CSC will be equal to 80,000 Kanal, approximately, making it largest housing society in the surrounding area.
