Solution 1: Find out how many users will be affected
Find out how many users are affected by using different credentials to open the same company file at the same time. If errors occur for any particular user, their credentials may be compromised. If so, restore the affected user.
Steps for a regular user if get corrupted:-
- In the main Company menu, select the settings users and their passwords.
- Now click on User Settings. Business users: Company > then Users > Select user and role settings.
- Now click on Add user.
- Enter your username and password credentials.
- Click on the next option.
- Edit the username as desired and then click Finish.
- Then log in to the company file using the Credentials on the screen.

Steps to open a sample file are:-
- In the QuickBooks No Company Open window. One-click to open the sample file.
- Now select any sample file from the given list.
- To copy company files to different locations:
- Right-click on the desktop. Then choose New and click the QBTEST folder in the folder name.
- Now open the folder where the user saved the company database file.
- Please right-click on the file and then copy it.
- Paste the company file into the QBTEST folder you created previously.
- Finally, open the company file in that QBTEST folder.
Solution 4: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop
- First, fix the QuickBooks installation process.
